Voice of my girl

The day I sold her, I was upset to see her go but, it was time to change things.

She was a GREAT looking C5!!

My rear plate, home made for $19 !!

My rear Z06 type screens, home made for $5 !!

Installed a new air intake. I felt a little bit more in the SOTP.

It moves much more air now baby!!

My Garage floor all done, it looks great and the car stays much cleaner now too.

A mouse got at the hood liner from the last owner.  I repaired the area, repainted it and painted the C5 logo.  It looks good for now!!

I wanted to see how red fuel rail covers would look and got a little creative.  Looks great!!

I was board one day and painted the radiator cover and the C5 logo on the air bridge..

This engine bay is really looking good.

My new high performance hood seal. Only $3.85 from my local hardware store..  Better than paying $14 for a advertised Corvette hood seal! Click here for what I used.

My new optima battery, it took me three weeks and $650 to fix all the "Charge System Fault" messages I was getting on the DIC..  Outside of bad battery cables and an alternator, The last of the culprits was a leaking battery...

EURO Lens installation

 Wiring and flush mount instructions

Euro Light setup

Here are all the shots of the modification to the rear lights.  I installed the EURO lens and made my own flush mount setup for them.

This is the foam I used to space out the lights.

Euro Light setup

This is the foam you can get it at any hardware store. Get it in 1 inch wide..

This is the modified bulb socket, it use's an 1157.  It's just a basic replacement socket.

Euro Light setup

Here is the socket in the blinker section of the EURO lens.

Euro Light setup

This is a bad picture but, you get the idea. This will space it out the amount you need to get it flush. It's a 3/4 in long spacer.  I wound up using a plastic spacer that was 3/8 inch in dia.

Euro Light setup

Here is what you need;
1) Four general purpose 1157 sockets (About $3.50 each)
2) Splice connectors for 18 ga. Wire (I'm sure most of you have these laying around), If you can solder, do that.
3) Four 1157 Bulbs ($2.99 for two)
4) 10 ft of 1 inch by 7/16 foam seal (see pic below)
5) (6) 3/4 inch long spacers (two for each center lights and one for each outer)
6) (2) 1/2 inch long spacers for the two outside lights (these go on the outer screw)
7) (8) 2 inch long #8 (fine thread) dry wall screws (they are black oxide coated just like the OEM's)..

When your all done, you have to cut the white wire on the brake pedal switch and also tap off the center brake light and use that to power the stop light filaments in the red lens.

Here is my baby with new 2004 "Commemorative Edition" reproduction stripes on it.  They look Awesome!  Two friend's came over to help (Thanks Mark and Bob!!)

I got these from a guy on the Corvette Forum. Is name is Mike Ung and his Email address is mikec5vert@hotmail.com

This is my dash cluster white face gauge and Alum Bezel install. It only took two hours to get to this point.  I took my time!!

Installing the gauges took a little finessing but it went in fine.  The gauge goes under the pointer and then you need to push the gauge down that is next to the pointer to get it over the back part of it.

Man these look great!

All the gauges installed, ready for re-assembly!

Here is the completed project with the lights off

Here is a shot with the blue lights on, It looks awesome!!

Here is one with the gauge lights off and the normal dash lights on

This was my 1978 Silver Aviversary and it was a NCRS Topflight winner in 2002...  Sold it on 6/03

This is the way it was put away for the winter, yep in a bubble!

I took out the GM-8 track radio and installed this JVC MP3 Player. Good sounding tunes is a must!! I did it in a way that putting it back to original is a snap!

Well, I did not want to do it but, I needed to get a meaner sound from the Shark. These are the new Borla's (all Stainless) and true dual exhaust system.  I still have the original mufflers that were on it from 1978 that are like brand new all put away! The sound of the Shark!  The part number of the Borlas are #40352 and the overall size is 9 1/2" wide x 14" long x 4" thick.. Its 2 1/2 inch pipe size with inlet and outlet offset.

My 1991 Corvette Coupe..  She was perfect!!  I was not happy to see her go but, I can't afford to keep them all.. I sold her on May 15, 2002  :-(
